When Terrie sent me her Intercom article on the retirement of Eddie Alanis, I searched for a suitable photo for a retirement piece: something with Eddie alone, standing still, looking serious. I searched through scores of photos from Eddie's decades of service, and couldn't find a single one like that. Eddie has always been on the move and always with people: teaching and coaching, laughing and joking, cheering and celebrating the people of DSS. Eddie encourages people to stretch and grow, without taking themselves too seriously. We'll miss him.
