Kristi Staebler recently conducted a CalFresh RRR interview with a gentleman we'll call Jay, who is currently a transient with no income. Jay had only received CalFresh to this point, but was now requesting MediCal on the advice of his brother.
Jay complimented Kristi on being personable and "a real people person who cares," and stated that everyone he has dealt with from the Santa Barbara offices to the BSC have been nothing but helpful for him. He stated that he has never run into any problems with our services or our staff, and he feels that we all have gone out of our way to help. Kristi explained we are here to help people in times such as these and to assist them with any programs, questions, or concerns. Jay stated that if anyone comes in to our offices or on the phones and says anything negative about the staff, it is only because they are having a bad day and that it is not our staff.
