You know Octopus. ¿Conoce a Pulpo?

by Dennis Tivey, Communication and Outreach Coordinator

As you may know, applicants and clients can send us documents and messages instantly online, from any computer or mobile device, using our Octopus web portal. Smartphone users can take a picture their document(s) and include it with their message. There's no app to download, and no account to create. The user can get to Octopus by clicking one of the "submit documents" links on our DSS public website (sbcdss.org), or directly by typing DSSoctopus.com in any web browser.

If you attended our info sessions in May 2018, you already knew that. But you also knew there was one problem: Google Translate wasn't doing a great job translating the portal for Spanish speakers. So we created Pulpo: it's the Octopus portal, but translated into Spanish by a human. Kudos to distinguished human Guillermo Villagomez for doing the translation! You can get to Pulpo by clicking the Español button in Octopus, or directly by typing DSSpulpo.com in any web browser.

UPDATE 3/7/19: A quirk that prevented some computers on the DSS network from accessing the address DSSpulpo.com has been resolved. Clear your browser cache and you'll be able to access it. (Here's how to clear your cache in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.)
