Headspace app offers free wellness support

Please see this Headspace flyer and “Wellness For All” campaign toolkit. This service is available for county staff, CBO staff, and clients (a total of 10,000 licenses will be available).

Headspace is a wellness app that is available to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in the county. The county has purchased licenses to provide access to a Headspace premium account. By scanning the QR code on the above flyer and following the prompts, enrollment will be completely free…a $70 value. It is not one license per home, so youth could download the app as well as parents and older adults in the same home to help protect privacy and receive individualized content based on user preferences.

There are activities for parents to do with their children. There is content for all ages and in several languages, including Spanish. Every month, new content is added: for example, right now there is new content on Women and Back to school. There are guided meditations, breath work, courses, music to aid in focusing, group activities, and support to improve sleep quality.

Below are some videos that might help with understanding what Headspace is. The first two are on YouTube. The remainder are on Headspace, so you'll need an account to access them.

Please know that the Help@Hand Project team members are available to help support with the enrollment process and to provide presentations if there are any agencies that would like a presentation for staff or community they serve. For further information, please contact: Maribel Landeros (She/Her/Hers), Help@Hand Project Manager, Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness, Cell: (805) 319-8335, email mlanderos@sbcbwell.org.
