CalSAWS Update

Today is a momentous day for California and all the people we serve through our programs!  San Luis Obispo, San Francisco and Sacramento have joined CalSAWS to complete the statewide migration. All 58 counties are now on board!

As we look ahead, there are a few projects planned by the project to learn from others and to maximize CalSAWS functionality.  Reporting is an area being examined for improvements. "LEAP into CalSAWS" (Learn, Examine, Act and Partner) is a project-sponsored strategy to help connect counties with project experts to facilitate county-to-county engagement. We hope to learn what is working well from other counties to identify opportunities to maximize CalSAWS usability. The project will start with the first migrated counties and work through each Wave—listening, learning, and sharing as they move along. An action plan will be developed that is responsive to counties’ feedback. As we receive more information, we will share. 

Locally, we are working on some changes to the Supervisor BPR Meeting agenda to incorporate and share more information related to CalSAWS.  If there is a topic or area of CalSAWS you would like to know more about or are finding challenging, please share it with your supervisor today, as we will be seeking input during our next meeting.
