Welcome New AOPs to the CORE Division

By Nancy Saengjaeng, Division Chief

We are pleased to officially announce the addition of nine new staff members to our DSS family, effective today, September 16, 2024!

The newly hired AOPs (Administrative Operations Professionals) will participate in their initial training sessions in the Contra Costa Room at the WRC, where they will familiarize themselves with our systems and processes.

We are delighted to welcome a diverse mix of new staff to our team. From enthusiastic former interns eager to learn and grow within our organization to individuals who have transitioned from temporary employees to brand-new individuals unknown to DSS, each brings a unique perspective and set of skills. This combination of backgrounds promises to enrich our workplace culture and enhance collaboration among team members.

As we embark on this journey with our new hires, it is important to note that our Second AOP Induction Training class requires us to be particularly creative in developing a hybrid training model. This approach is essential since some participants already possess training and experience in specific areas. To ensure that all new staff receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs, we have assembled a dedicated training team comprised of knowledgeable individuals who will guide them through various modules:

The following are the training team who will provide support to this group:

Orientation:  Julian Valdez & Daniel Barajas

MIST (Mail, Imagining, Scanning, and Tasks):  Patricia & Daniel Barajas

IVR:  Veronica Rangel & Irma Herrera Zarate

A/R:  Daniel Barajas & Angelica Rodriguez

Input & Data Integration:  Octavio Enriquez & Daniel Barajas

Reception:  Raul Cabrera, Rosa Hokedo or Maria Hurtado

Additionally, mentors for this group have yet to be determined, but they will play an integral role in providing ongoing support during their acclimation period.

Today, you may notice our new staff touring the building as part of their orientation process. We encourage everyone to take a moment out of their day to extend a warm welcome as they explore their new environment. Your friendly greetings and support are integral to helping them feel comfortable and integrated into our WRC community.

Please join me in warmly welcoming our newest AOPs!
