On October 3, 2024, DSS participated in a successful CalFresh enrollment event at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). The event addressed food insecurity among college students and received an overwhelming response from the student community. Our dedicated team, including Silvia Gwo, Hilda Quinones, Carmen Medel, Pilar Cruz, Julia Perez, Debora Aquino, and Aydee Plascencia, assisted students in navigating the CalFresh application process. The event attracted more than 100 students. Our team rose to the occasion and assisted with questions and new applications. We sincerely appreciate all team members involved in this valuable initiative.
