Announcing Fly to Success - a career, college, and trade fair for youths aged 14 - 19, with a kite festival open to the public.
Organized in partnership with Jasmin Mera, CWS Social Worker, this event will take place on April 5, 2025, at Lompoc High School. We are partnering with Future for Lompoc Youth (FLY), a nonprofit that is dedicated to helping local youth succeed academically, pursue careers, and contribute to their community.
Our goal is to connect with youth by offering hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to interact directly with professionals from various industries. They'll have the chance to network and receive mentorship from local businesses, trade schools, colleges and working professional. To add an element of fun, youth will earn drawing opportunities for the booths they visit, in an effort to blend educational value with exciting rewards.
In addition to the career fair, we’ll be hosting a free Kite Festival for the entire community. The event will include community agencies, food vendors, a DIY kite design table, and live music—there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
If you're available, we’d love for you to join us for a day packed with fun activities, music, food, and valuable resources from our community partners. Feel free to share the flyer and event details with families and youth so they can take advantage of this amazing opportunity!
We hope to see you there!
