I am writing to make sure Mr. Derr is recognized for his exceptional assistance during our phone call on Thursday 12/4/2025 with Mr. Derr, [the clients] and me. [The client] has read this memo and agrees about the good job Mr. Derr has done.
For several months we have been stuck in a loop between the state's Covered California program and the Medi-Cal program. Mr. Derr as able to check into the complicated situation and bring it to resolution. He did not just update us on what happened, he educated us on why it happened.
Further, he delivered the miraculous news that [the client's] Medi-Cal benefits were extended through the end of the month and gave us a specific strategy to use with the medical office. [The client] has an important appointment with their doctor this week as a result.
Mr. Der clarified what had become a confusing mess and outlined a clear path forward with and immediate benefit to [the client]. Since he was so patient, kind and able to listen, I personally cried, after we hung up, tears of joy and appreciation for what seemed a miraculous way to support [the client's] family.
