| Some of our fabulous 2016 volunteers, doing beach cleanup! |
It's that time again. I am excited to announce the 26th Annual Day of Caring will be taking place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Santa Barbara...and we are assembling a DSS volunteer team. Let's join together to accomplish what no one single person can!
The Day of Caring is a community-focused project where volunteers work at over 50 local charitable organizations. They perform a variety of projects such as beautifying facilities, sorting contributed merchandise, and completing office work.
Volunteers come from corporations, charitable organizations, youth clubs, schools, families, and friends. They help charities complete projects they would not otherwise complete due to lack of resources. As some of you know, the Day of Caring supports many non-profits that serve our clients.
We are asking for your help by participating and volunteering your time during this event. Your help is needed and will be very much appreciated by the entire Santa Barbara community. Helping to keep our community clean is so important for all of us that call Santa Barbara “my home”. We want this community to thrive and grow, have safe and healthy improvements which can benefit all.
If you are interested in joining our team, please send an e-mail to Eddie Ozeta (E.Ozeta@sbcsocialserv.org). You are welcome to invite your friends and family members to join our team. Please contact Raquel Diaz (R.Diaz2@sbcsocialserv.org) with any questions, and we look forward to seeing you at the event!
T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers. You will submit your t-shirt size when you sign up. Thank you!
