UPDATE: Extended through Friday September 29!
You can help homeless and low-income veterans by donating items to the Veterans Donation Drive! From now until September 22, 2017, every DSS location has a donation bin where you can drop off new, unopened clothing and supplies, which will be provided to homeless or low-income veterans at the Veterans Stand Down event. Read on for a list of items needed and the location of your office's donation bin!
Items needed include:
• T-Shirts, Underwear, Socks
• Towels and Blankets
• Sweatshirts, Long-Sleeve Shirts, and Other Winter Wear
• Toiletries (trial-size toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap)
• Protein Bars
These items will be distributed at the Veterans Stand Down, which will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Maria Fairpark.
Donation bins will be located in the following spots:
Santa Barbara
Camino del Remedio: Atrium
Casa Nueva: 2nd Floor Entrance Hall
SB WRC (Ortega): Break Room
Santa Maria
WRC: Break Room
BSC: Break Room
Carmen Lane: Break Room
Betteravia: First and Second Floor Break Rooms and Third Floor Administration
Lompoc
Laurel office: Break Room
