KCOY recently ran this piece on some of the services available to North County veterans trying to re-integrate to civilian life at school or in work, including the Veterans Success Center at Allan Hancock College, the Veterans Employment Representative at the Santa Maria Employment Development Department, the Veterans Treatment Court, and Casa de Flores. It's worth a look if you're serving folks in that situation.
Incidentally, some of you may remember Veronica West from when she was an IHSS SSP here at DSS back in 2005. Today she's Dr. Veronica West LMFT, and she's a veteran adjunct counselor there at the Veteran Success Center.
