"I wanted to tell you what a good worker you have in your office. Amy Guerrero went above and beyond to help me. I grew up in Santa Ynez, I’m a single mom, I’m Native American and I was humiliated all my life. I’m 57 and on disability. I’m not very good at doing everything. Mrs. Guerrero did not make me feel stupid. This means a lot to me. I grew up being told to “sit in the back of the bus,” that “you can’t learn to read” because I was Native American. After Mrs. Guerrero helped me, I was so touched that when I got off the phone I cried."

Amy Guerrero goes above and beyond to help
by Brenda Bennett-Marks, Eligibility Supervisor
I received a call from a client, who related the following:
"I wanted to tell you what a good worker you have in your office. Amy Guerrero went above and beyond to help me. I grew up in Santa Ynez, I’m a single mom, I’m Native American and I was humiliated all my life. I’m 57 and on disability. I’m not very good at doing everything. Mrs. Guerrero did not make me feel stupid. This means a lot to me. I grew up being told to “sit in the back of the bus,” that “you can’t learn to read” because I was Native American. After Mrs. Guerrero helped me, I was so touched that when I got off the phone I cried."
