| Donated items sorted and ready for transport! |
This year's Veterans Stand Down Donation Drive brought in a good haul for veterans in need! Items were sorted into file boxes, with donations consisting of blankets, T-shirts, toiletries, and winter wear (gloves/beanies), as well as leashes, toys and treats for the veterans' pets.
Thank you to every DSS employee who contributed, for helping our homeless and low-income veterans stay warm, clean and dry. Thank you to our Facilities Staff who not only assisted with getting the barrels from the Food Bank and dropped off at each location, but also got them set up in each of the designated areas. They additionally played a huge part in transporting all of our donations over to the Fairpark to be sorted and arranged to hand out at the Stand Down event.
