COVID-19 and DSS: 5/28/20 Update

We are now required to wear a mask (face covering) when moving about the building. Please help everyone to remember this new protocol.

What does mask-wearing mean?
  • We ask that you please adhere to wearing a mask or face covering when outside your cubicle in walkways. This includes going to the bathroom, break room, conference rooms, your supervisor’s office, and entering or exiting the building.
  • You do not need to wear a mask or face covering when in your cubicle or office. If you are appropriately distanced in a meeting room, you don’t need to cover your face once everyone is settled.
You may be wondering why this is necessary if you don't interact in person with the public.
  • Many of us live with or interact with people when we are away from work, who may be exposed to or carrying the virus—which means YOU can be exposed or carrying the virus and spread it at work.
  • As our community continues opening more businesses and places of gathering, there is increased risk of exposure. The mask requirement helps to make that ongoing relaxation of other restrictions possible.
Free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can also view the county health officer order on face coverings here (the specific rules are on pages 2-4).
