Since the case rate in our county has now dropped to the level it was in mid-July, and since our vaccination rate in our Department is now at 79%, and since we are conducting weekly testing of unvaccinated staff, and since 70.2% of those eligible to be vaccinated in the county are fully vaccinated - I am lifting the requirement for social distancing and re-establishing the seating areas in the breakrooms for use by vaccinated staff effective at 8:00 a.m. Monday November 01.
Supervisors and managers are still free to use their discretion to cause social distancing to occur in regard to how they structure meetings or other individual and group encounters with their staff.
All staff must continue to wear masks indoors except while actively eating and drinking until the County Health Officer order in that regard expires. And when that occurs, CalOSHA requirements will still be in place requiring unvaccinated staff to wear masks while indoors.
