Workday is a state-of-the-art cloud-based Enterprise Resource System (ERP) solution that will replace many of our current systems—unifying HR, Payroll, Financials, Recruiting, Talent, Performance, and Learning in a single countywide system. Workday will go live in two phases.
Workday Financials goes live on November December 1!
In the first phase, on November December 1, 2023, Workday will replace FIN. This affects Fiscal, and anyone else who uses FIN—for example, an AOP who uses FIN to see if a check was cashed when a client says it was lost or not received, or a manager looking up invoice payments or budget information. Training for Trainers is happening now, so keep an eye out for training opportunities in the future!
Workday HCM goes live in April October 2024!
In the second phase, in April October 2024, Workday will replace numerous other systems. This will affect every employee. It includes the Workday learning management system (replacing Spot), time sheet (replacing ESS Plus), performance (replacing Oracle HCM), talent, absence (time off), benefits, and recruiting (replacing NeoGov).
Why Workday?
Workday will replace disparate and aging software applications currently in use across the County to perform essential business processes. It will allow better access to information, help the County standardize and automate business processes, simplify the County’s technology landscape, better meet the expectations of the County workforce, and transform business operations to optimize resources.
