On Saturday, February 3rd, Mayra Martinak and Maria Dwyer participated in the Santa Barbara Public Library’s Immigration Resources Fair and Family Literacy Carnival. They provided information to the public about the programs we offer, including Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, and CalFresh. The event was an excellent opportunity for different organizations that serve immigrant communities to connect with families in the area. Some activities included literacy tutoring, youth programming, and services for Spanish speakers. DSS was proud to participate, reach out to the community, and share information about our valuable programs.
